MAIN TOWNS: Kalimnos town is the main port and capital of the island. It absolutely throbes at night-time but een so much of old Kalimnos is still evident. Kantouni, 6.5 km from Kalimnos town is almost entirely a Greek village holiday resort. Myrtes, 7.5 km from Kalimnos is a seside village with blatant holiday packages. Massouri, 8.5 km from Kalimnos is more develped but neater than Myrtes. Emborio, 20.5 km from Kalimos town is a clean, ethnic and "old Greek" village laid out with a central small t-shaped quay. Vathis is a small port 8km from Kalimnos and is stripped of all essentials.
