MAIN TOWNS: Thira Town is the capital and is perched high on the cliff overlooking the bay. Kamari is about 10km from Thira and Perissa about 15km away from the capital
TRANSPORT: Santorini has a large enough airport, about 7km from Thira, to handle international as well as domestic flights. The island is also serviced by ferries and hydrofoils.
