Advertisers: Help - How do I know my advert will be seen on the Internet
Your advert or any other type of entry is part of a very large website. There are many reasons why your advert/entry will be seen well on the internet:
- The website is an open source (drupal language) CMS - content management system, which is very attractive to search engines because it is rich in the context sensitive text and labelled images that they like.
- The website is highly structured and easy for search engines and directories to crawl. The structure is based on categories. Each category is given meta-tags including, abstract, description and keywords/keyphrases.
- Categories are arranged in menus which are again tagged so that search engines and directories can easily find them.
- Entries and adverts each have their own page in the website which is displayed as a file name in the brower at the top level. That is, the path that it can be located at in our website. For example: http://www.GreekIslandsRealEstate.com/your_advert_title ensuring that your specific advert or entry on our site is not buried too deep in the site for it to be found by the search engines and directories.
- During moderation, every advert and entry is given specific meta-tags before it is published. This is done by a real person and not an automated routine. We do use a piece of software to de-dup and alphabetically order keywords.
- Each advert or entry once approved and paid for (where applicable) is added to our weekly submission routine and submitted to approximately 1000 search engines and directories (including Dmoz and Yahoo).
- We actively seek reciprocal links with suitable/complimentary sites to increase our popularity ranking which pushes the site higher up in the search engines, etc.
