MAIN TOWNS:The main arrival port is at Merichas is not particularly attractive. Kithnos (the Chora) is 5 km away from Merichas and set on a high rolling inland agricultural plain but lacks the usual hill capping beauty assosicated with other Chora. The lovely village of Loutra is 8 km from Merichas. Kanala is a modern holiday resort sitting on the top of a tongue of headland flanked by a bay either side and is also about 8km from Merichas Port.
